Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem has reiterated that the protocol of results at the polling station means that the results at the polling stations are final and there is no second count or recount unless the SOE finds there is a reason to recount.

While taking the media for a walkthrough for the Packing of Sensitive Materials for Election Day at the FEO Warehouse, Saneem also says counting is done manually.

He says on election day there will be a significant number of voters voting at the polling stations.

Saneem says a feature of the Fijian elections is that a lot of ballot boxes have to be transported from Suva out to places where polling will take place.

He adds this means ballot boxes have to be transported in a manner that it doesn't get damaged.
