There’s a lot at stake for our Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side as they build up towards the 2024 Paris Olympics as well, but all I can say is that we are supporting them fully.

This was the sentiment echoed by Fiji Rugby Administrator Simione Valenitabua as he wishes the team well for the HSBC Perth 7s this weekend.

Valenitabua says the Fijiana 7s team played well over the weekend at the McDonald’s Fiji’s Coral Coast 7s and they are definitely ready for this weekend.

The Fijiana lost in the final to Matakesi which is the shadow NZ women’s 7s development team.

He adds coach Saiasi Fuli and his management team are doing a great job with the side and they are expecting a positive outcome from the team.

The Fijiana 7s side will take on Brazil at 4pm Friday in their first pool match and play Spain at 8.47pm Friday.

They will then play France at 2.22pm on Saturday in their final pool match.

The Women’s cup quarter finals will kick off at 2.44pm Saturday, the women’s cup semi finals will start at 4.22pm Sunday and the women’s cup finals will kick off at 9.13pm Sunday.
