Chief Executive Officers in the Tourism and Hotel Industry, Fantasha Lockington

There can be many women in the management teams if there is more support provided.

This was highlighted by some women during the International Women's Day breakfast at the Grand Pacific Hotel who highlighted that working in a male dominant profession, they often face discrimination and stereotyping.

While speaking about her journey and as one of the longest serving Chief Executive Officer in the Tourism and Hotel Industry, Fantasha Lockington says we need to identify our weaknesses, have goals and have the will power to be what we want to be.

She says we need to have a thick skin, focus on what we want as a woman and then work out what is stopping us from having it in order to grow from it.

Lockington says when she was a young manager, she struggled to find her place as there were more men around therefore she had to change her dynamics of doing things to change the situations.

She says we also need to support one another and help each other as we never know what one must be going through.

Lockington says women can lift one another therefore she encourages all women to have self-confidence and believe in themselves to grow rather than finding inspiration on social media.
