The mother and the newborn baby are well looked after and both are well supported by relevant authorities.

That is the response from Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Sashi Kiran to fijivillage News when asked about an update about the newborn baby found at a hostel washroom in Lautoka.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Kiran urged the public to respect the mother’s privacy and allow her the space to recover.

She says we all make mistakes in life, and it is a difficult time for her.
