Flying Fijians Coach Mick Byrne

The Fiji Water Flying Fijians’ goal for the upcoming November tour is to perform well on the big stage against the Tier 1 teams, especially when they will be playing these teams on their respective home grounds.

Coach Mick Byrne says playing against Scotland, Wales and Ireland will be an experience of a lifetime for some of the new players and these teams do not have hostile crowds, but they support their teams well.

Byrne says the good thing about the Northern Hemisphere sides is they really respect the game, so the Flying Fijians players will enjoy playing in front of those crowds.

Byrne further says playing against tier 1 teams is where they want to be.

The Flying Fijians will be leaving our shores today for their November tests tour.

They will take on Scotland at 5.40am next Sunday at Murrayfield, Scotland in their first test, before playing Wales on the 11th of November at 1.40am at the Millennium Stadium in Wales.

They will then take on Spain on the 17th of November at 2am at the José Zorrilla stadium in Spain and the play Ireland on the 24th of November at 3.10am at Aviva Stadium in their last test.
