The Westin Denarau Island Resort and Spa has donated over 6,000 pieces of linen to the Lautoka Hospital as part of the “Solia Lesu” by Marriott foundation initiative to assist associates and local community affected by COVID-19.

The donation of over 6,000 pieces of linen namely bed sheets, pillowcases and bath towels took place at the resort with representatives from the Ministry of Health and the Management of The Westin Denarau Island Resort and Spa.

Multi-Property Vice President, Fiji and Samoa – Marriott International and General Manager - Sheraton and Westin Resorts, Neeraj Chadha says they have worked with the Nadi Hospital when they first launched their Solia Lesu food drive and wanted to expand their initiatives to Lautoka Hospital.

Under the Solia Lesu by Marriott Foundation, over 20 villages in the greater Nadi region including the Nadi Hospital and Nadi Police Station have received assistance in the form of food delivery and linen donation.

He says the charity will continue its assistance to associates and the local community during these challenging times.
