People’s Alliance Leader and former Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka and Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum

People’s Alliance Leader and former Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka says when the government currently led by the Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum does not respond to many issues of national interest, they are disrespecting the people of Fiji and denying the right for people to be informed.

Rabuka who has just returned from a funeral of a relative in Drekeniwai in Vanua Levu says he had a bout of food poisoning but he has seen a doctor and the symptoms are now going away.

In a press conference, he says he is concerned that the government, especially the Acting Prime Minister, refuses to answer many questions being raised.

Rabuka says he is calling on Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum to apologize to the people of the country for keeping them in the dark about the Prime Minister’s health and recovery until questions were asked.

He says this has resulted in unnecessary confusion.

When questioned by fijivillage, Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says Rabuka is trying to be relevant.
