The Pacific Community (formerly known as South Pacific Commission) has confirmed that the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture will be held from the 6th to the 16th of June 2024 in Honolulu.

The Pacific Community says Pasifika culture has a rich history of offering local solutions to global challenges about traditional knowledge and wisdom.

They say providing crucial support during times of crisis, especially in the face of significant global issues like climate change is very important.

Assistant Minister for iTaukei Affairs Isikeli Tuiwailevu says the preparation for the Festival Arts and Culture is underway and the Ministry is closely working together with SPC, Biosecurity and other organization towards the event next year.

Tuiwailevu says the preservation of culture is a very important element for Pacific Islanders.
