Great news for the people as Telecom Fiji Limited has launched their Nakorokula Tavua Fibre Project, improving connectivity for families, businesses, and schools across the Western Division.

Speaking during the event at the Ellington Primary School Hall, Telecom Fiji Chief Executive Officer Charles Goundar emphasizes the project will ensure people and businesses in the area have access to faster, more reliable, and uninterrupted communication services.

Goundar further highlights that stronger connectivity will support education, small business growth, emergency response, and the daily digital needs of families.

He adds that this project replaces old and damaged fibre lines along the route, ensuring that households and businesses will benefit from a stronger and more secure connection.

Goundar stresses that it will also support future development opportunities, especially for businesses looking to set up in the Tavua–Rakiraki corridor, which has been identified as a key growth area for investment.

He confirms that work on the project begins in mid-November 2025 and is expected to be completed by 30 May 2026.

Goundar says the upgraded link will also allow businesses to use modern digital tools, access cloud services, and improve customer service.
