Telecom Fiji Limited proudly demonstrated its commitment to the community by contributing $15,000 to the Fiji Cancer Society (FCS) during a heartwarming Pinktober morning tea event held at the Telecom Lautoka Exchange and Headquarters in Suva.

Telecom's General Manager for Corporate Services and Human Resources, Samuela Vadei says they were privileged to have two cancer survivors speak to their staff at these events: Vikiwini Tora in Lautoka and Farnia Simion from Rabi Island in Suva.

Vadei says their powerful stories and resilience deeply inspired their staff, underscoring the strength of community support and the essential role the Fiji Cancer Society plays in early detection, proper care, and ongoing support for cancer patients.

He says representatives from Fiji Cancer Society were also present to share insights into the Society’s impactful work.

Vadei expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Fiji Cancer Society for its tireless efforts in spreading cancer awareness in workplaces and encouraging staff to share this knowledge with their families and communities.

He emphasized Telecom Fiji's pride in participating in Pinktober donations each year, noting that, through these contributions, the company aims to support awareness raising, wellness promotion, and essential assistance to those affected by cancer, ensuring no one faces the battle alone.

Vadei also highlighted Telecom's longstanding partnership with the Fiji Cancer Society, reaffirming the company's unwavering commitment to supporting organizations like FCS in their critical mission.

He says they are proud to see their staff actively turning awareness into action through their invaluable pledges and efforts.

Vadei says Telecom’s generosity and dedication to the Fiji Cancer Society highlight their belief in the importance of community support and their commitment to positively impacting the lives of those affected by cancer.
