Veronika Tuibeqa who is a dalo farmer in Taveuni is encouraging people that through farming they can earn a living out of their sweat.

Tuibeqa who was speaking to fijivillage News says they managed to buy a four-wheel drive and a carrier earlier this year to transport the dalo and are planning to buy a tractor next month to help them cultivate the land.

Tuibeqa says the Road King Farm has contributed a lot to the farmers on the island by giving a good pay that benefits the people.

She also won the best dalo agent for the Road King Farm in Taveuni this year.

The farmer says right now the cost per kilogram of dalo is $5 and farmers can earn more than $300 from selling one sack.

The 39-year-old says to become a successful person in life, her seven children were taught to be independent by learning the hard way.
