More job opportunities are expected to be created for the people of Tamavua Village in Naitasiri as the Yavusa of Matanikutu is developing the land into an expansive 11-acre multi-million dollar business park.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Tamavua Village Headman, Sunia Malewa says this project will develop their Vanua and a lot of benefits can be gained.

Malewa says this initiative is for the long run of their future generation as well.

Developer, Blue Horizon Property Group Director, Mark Acraman says this is a new chapter for Tamavua Village as it is a pioneering project and also introduces the first mixed-use retail and office precinct in Tamavua and is set to transform the local landscape.

Acraman says the people of Tamavua Village through their local landowning unit called Yavusa Matanikutu, have collectively formed the Matanikutu Development Trust and a special purpose investment company.

Meanwhile, Minister for iTaukei Affairs, Ifereimi Vasu has reminded the Yavusa of the need for them to be working together for the completion of this project.
