Tabuavou and Ravai to make Drua debut against Hurricanes this weekend

Former Racing 92 centre Inia Tabuavou and former Reds prop Peni Ravai will be making their first appearance for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua this weekend when they take on the Hurricanes in round 2 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

Tabuavou will be making his Super Rugby Pacific debut at inside centre while Ravai will potentially be making his Drua debut off the bench.

Meanwhile, coach Glen Jackson has made several changes to his matchday 23 squad which include livewire hooker and co-captain Tevita Ikanivere being rested from the team this week.

Emosi Tuqiri, Zuriel Togiatama and Mesake Doge will start in the front row, Mesake Vocevoce and Isoa Nasilasila will be at locks while Meli Derenalagi, Motikiai Murray and Elia Canakaivata will start in the backrow.

Frank Lomani will start at halfback, Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula comes back into flyhalf, Taniela Rakuro and Junior Ratuva will start on the wings, Tabuavou and Tuidraki Samusamuvodre will partner in the centres, while Ilaisa Droasese will start at fullback.

Mesulame Dolokoto, Ravai, Meli Tuni, Leone Rotuisolia and Kitione Salawa will cover the forwards from the bench, while Peni Matawalu, Caleb Muntz and Iosefo Masi will cover the backs.

The Drua will take on the Hurricanes at 3.35pm this Saturday in McLean Park, Napier.

In other matches this week, the Chiefs will host the Crusaders at 6.05pm Friday, the Reds will play Moana Pasifika at 8.35pm Friday, the Highlanders will take on the Blues at 6.05pm Saturday, and the Brumbies will play the Force at 8.35pm Saturday.
