A new era has begun for tertiary students in Fiji as the Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Service has launched three of its programs which includes the Travel and Bond Clearance Portal, AI Integrated Chatbot, and Learning Enrichment Management System.

While officiating at the launch, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad, alongside Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro, emphasized the government’s commitment to leveraging technology to advance education in Fiji.

Professor Prasad says students will now find it easier and more accessible to apply for tertiary scholarships, as they can conveniently complete their applications online instead of waiting in long lines, saving time and effort.

He highlighted that the launch of these initiatives mark a significant step forward in how Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence are being used to redefine and streamline work processes.

Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, says these tools demonstrate the government’s commitment to modernizing education and ensuring that students and stakeholders benefit from streamlined processes and enriched learning environments.

TSLS CEO Dr Hasmukh Lal adds these initiatives aim to bridge gaps in accessibility and efficiency, enhancing the overall experience for students and ensuring that education remains within reach for everyone in Fiji.
