Australia has sent more relief items to Fiji this afternoon.

The C-17 aircraft, which is the largest aircraft operated by the Australian Defence Force, was received by Australian High Commissioner to Fiji John Feakes as well as representatives from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and Fiji’s National Disaster Management Office.

Working with their Fijian colleagues from the disciplined forces and the civil service the Australian aircrew helped offload 16 pallets of supplies and equipment including three from UNICEF on to government vehicles for rapid distribution to affected communities across the country.
