Suva storm into BiC Fiji FACT semi-finals with 5-0 win over Nadi

Semi finals: Lautoka vs Labasa, Suva vs Rewa

Stratum Construction Suva have secured a spot in the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT semi-finals after thrashing Bula Rentals & Tours Nadi 5-0 in the thrilling final match of the day at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Suva applied pressure on Nadi from the very beginning, with Joe Moses scoring the opening goal just before the break, sending them into half-time with a 1-0 lead.

The second half saw a power-packed performance from the hosts, who scored four more goals to seal their victory.

Akuila Mataisuva netted Suva's second goal from the penalty spot in the 67th minute, with Ramzan Khan adding another just three minutes later, giving the hosts a 3-0 lead.

Joe Moses bagged his second goal of the match in the 78th minute, and Waisake Navunigasau added a final goal in the dying minutes, securing a comfortable 5-0 win for Suva over Nadi.

Assistant coach for Suva, Mohammad Irfan says he was pleased with the team's performance, as the players followed the game plan set out by the coach.

The assistant coach adds that they are looking forward to next week’s semi-finals and that the team will now regroup and discuss ways to rectify their mistakes and deliver an improved performance in front of their fans.

Meanwhile, the stage is set for an exciting finish to the 2025 BiC Fiji FACT tournament.

Group A winners, Paradise Seafood Supplies Lautoka, will open the semi-finals when they face Extra Supermarket Labasa, the runners-up from Group B, at 2pm next Saturday.

In the second semi-final, Group B winners Stratum Construction Suva will take on Ajay Trading Rewa, the runners-up from Group A, at 4.30pm.
