Suva Tennis has received a boost as they have partnered with Vodafone Fiji for Suva Tennis Tournament.

Head of Vodafone Fiji Recharge and Distribution Nilesh Singh says, their sponsorship goes beyond mere financial support; it is an investment in the future of tennis in Fiji.

He says Vodafone Fiji is giving back to the communities and inspiring the next generation with the joy of accessible tennis.

Suva Tennis Vice President, Daniel Naidu says the focus of the Association is to reach out to all the schools in Fiji, and so far, they have five schools with hundreds of students in class 1 to 6, who are interested in sport.

Naidu says not all students are rugby players and Suva Tennis has a goal to reach out to those students and help them find their potential, but the challenge is not the enthusiasm of the students, it is the amount of coaches needed in the sport.

Naidu says the Association is trying to get tennis coaches from overseas.

He acknowledged the financial assistance from Vodafone Fiji, Fiji Water, and Axellerate, in supporting Suva Tennis.

Suva Tennis Tournament will be held from the 29th to the 31st of August at the Victoria Tennis Court in Suva.
