The Health Ministry confirms the Suva Civic Centre drive-through rapid diagnostic test swab service will be open until tomorrow from 10am to 3pm.

You can go there and use the service if you are over 40 and are experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms.

Those symptoms include cough, runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, fatigue/extreme tiredness, headache, aches and pains, sore throat, fever, diarrhoea, red eyes (conjunctivitis), loss of taste or smell, a rash on the skin.

The Health Ministry stresses that at the end of the drive-through swab service, each person swabbed will be given their COVID-19 status, be informed of their risk for developing severe COVID 19 and receive advice for the treatment of their symptoms.

You cannot use this service if you are a primary contact who has been in self-quarantine and requires clearance.

The service is not for those who are symptomatic and under 40 years of age.

Its also not for those seeking clearance for crossing the border or domestic repatriation.

The Health Ministry stresses it is not for routine swabbing for essential business or critical infrastructure.
