The FMF Sukuna Bowl Organising committee is aiming to collect $50,000 as part of its charity initiative to support children whose parents have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Major Elia Roko-wailoa says all gate-takings will go towards supporting children affected by the pandemic.

He says they understand the struggles most families are going through now and this charity initiative will give them some form of relief.

$20,000 has been donated by the RFMF while the Police Cricket team gave $300 towards this initiative.

Rokowailoa says this is to start-off the effort of "Rise Fiji Rise" initiative to demonstrate the resilience of the Fijian people.

The Sukuna Bowl competition continues today with the volleyball and netball competition at the National Netball Centre.

The Sukuna Bowl Rugby match between Subrails Army and Police is at 4.30pm tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.

You can catch the live commentary on Viti FM.

Meanwhile, Police beat Army 2 nil to win the soccer competition yesterday afternoon.
