A 17-year old student has died as a result of injuries sustained in a road accident on Saturday night.
The incident occurred along the Queen’s Road near Sabeto.
The boy was riding a horse when they were hit by a truck driven by a man in his late 30s from Nawai.
He was rushed to the Nadi Hospital and later transferred to the Lautoka Hospital where he unfortunately passed away yesterday morning.
The driver has been questioned and released awaiting the outcome of the post mortem examination as investigations continue.
