Students under the Free Bus Fare scheme do not have to worry about the increase in bus fare from this Friday.

The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the subsidised Blue E-Transport Cards for students will be topped up automatically to cater for the bus fare increase.

They are urging students to continue using their blue cards as they have been doing so far.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission had announced last week that the student bus fare will be 50% of whatever the adult fare is.
