Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, John Rabuku is urging police officers to strive for honesty, integrity and fairness when carrying out duties.

Rabuku highlighted this to the 30 police officers who graduated from the ODPP Basic Prosecution Course at the Ministry of Civil Service Training Centre in Nasese.

Rabuku is urging the officers to conduct themselves to the highest standards of integrity as the beacon of prosecutorial work.

He is also encouraging them to think and realise that they are at the cusp of what may be the greatest legal job that they will have as prosecutors.

The Acting Director says as they strive for excellence to improve in the field, they must not lose sight of humanity and diverse people who love this country and call it home as those are the hallmarks of a good prosecutor.

The ODPP continues to provide Basic and Advanced Prosecution courses to police and statutory prosecutors to improve the standard of prosecution in Fiji.

The course was facilitated by Assistant DPP Pauline Madanavosa who was assisted by other ODPP prosecutors.

These police officers attended the four-week ODPP Basic Prosecution Course which was designed to equip officers with the basic prosecutorial and advocacy skills.
