The Fiji National Sports Commission Chairman Peter Mazey says there is no confirmed date as yet on when sports is expected to resume in the country and adds they will be taking the cue from the Ministry of Health.

This is following the launch of the framework for the resumption of sports and recreational activities in the country last week.

Speaking to fijivillage Sports, Mazey says the Ministry of Health wanted the protocols to be put in place so they could work around the framework.

He says the framework is in three levels which can be changed depending on the risk.

Mazey has also revealed that fans will not be allowed to enter the grounds until they are fully vaccinated.

When questioned on the possibility of having sports without fans, Mazey says this depends on which level we are in and the decision will be made by the Health Ministry

Meanwhile, three sporting organizations still do not have their protocols certified and will not be allowed to resume until they get their certification.

They are Handball, Power-lifting and Body Building.
