It was a grand closing to a truly spectacular Diamond Jubilee Celebrations for the Grammarians as they saved the best celebration for last at the Vodafone Arena where ex-scholars from all the chapters of the 60s,70s,80,90s, and millennials came in unison to celebrate the closing of the 60th plus celebrations.

The President of the Suva Grammar School Ex-Students Association Stanley Simpson says it has been a very overwhelming and emotional week for him to see an event of this magnitude come to a close and this is one of those days he will cherish with his family and the Grammarian family.

Simpson could not contain his emotions seeing some of his friends after 25 years and says it was such a good feeling and knows most Grammarians out there feel the same way.

He says as part of the celebrations this week, they are also fundraising towards the school, to complete certain projects like the gym and more projects in the pipeline.

According to the feedback the organizers have received from the Suva Retailers Association during the week-long celebrations, the sales picked up for the retailers.

Simpson says it is an absolute honour to be part of the pride and the celebrations and thanked all the supporters who rendered their services to make the celebrations a success.

He acknowledged the support from other schools and the prayers as they journeyed through the celebrations, and looks forward to more collaborative work in the future.
