As the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum continues at the Grand Pacific Hotel, a Blue Pacific Village has been set up in Thurston Garden where people of the Pacific are showcasing their tradition and culture through traditional dances, music and food.

The theme for the Forum and the Village is reflection, renewal and celebration, and focuses on the resilience of the 18 Pacific Islands Forum members.

Tuvalu Pageant Queen, Tapua Pasuna is excited to be in Suva showcasing their handicrafts and traditional foods.

Law student, Aileen Lopa says Vanuatu is hoping to raise awareness on the ocean and climate change, and the initiative is supported by other Pacific countries.

The Blue Pacific Village encourages the region to shape an environment of growing the culture and oceanic sector.
