Southern Division wins Police IDC

Southern Division has won the Kontiki Finance Police IDC as they beat Western Division Two 1 nil in the final.

Suva rep, Filipe Baravilala scored the winning goal for the Southern side.

He has also been crowned as the Best Footballer in the tournament and has won $100.

Meanwhile, Southern Division has received $300 cash while Western Division 2 gets $200 cash.

Southern Division had the services of district reps such as Remueru Takiate, Waisake Navunigasau and Sahil Dave while Paula Buke and Nadi rep, Rahul Krishna were in the Western side.

Southern Division had earlier beaten Northern Division 5-4 on penalties while Western Division 2 beat last year’s winner, Police Special Response Unit in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, invitational side, Suva Combined beat Police Women 5-3 on penalties in the Kontiki Finance Police IDC Women competition.

The teams was scoreless at the end of normal play.
