Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn has revealed that a few of their players contracted COVID-19, however, all the players are fully fit and have recovered.

He says they managed this by isolating players and also following improved safety practices.

Thorburn says most of these players contracted the virus after returning from their Christmas break.

The Fijian Drua will have two trial matches.

The first trial match is against Western Force on the 30th of this month while the second trial match is against the Rebels in Melbourne on 10th February 2022.

They will play the Highlanders on April 30th at the ANZ Stadium in Suva while their opening round game is against the Waratahs on Friday 18th February.
