Concerns are being raised by some people who have been robbed and assaulted after coming out of night clubs in Suva.

Some are saying that they have been attacked and robbed by street kids.

Another group that is now proposing to provide personal security for those going out at night, says many cases of theft occur at night clubs and these violent night crimes have caused major concerns with victims having severe injuries.

When questioned by Police, they say they are reminding the public to be responsible when it comes to the consumption of alcohol during the weekends.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says officers are sent in numbers to provide security. Naisoro says they are conducting regular patrols throughout the night into the early morning.

She says this is boosted during the weekend from other units and divisions.
