The 54-year-old man from Soasoa in Labasa who had allegedly breached self-quarantine orders after arriving into Fiji has been charged and will be produced in the Labasa Magistrates Court today.
The man returned from a religious gathering in India and allegedly spread COVID-19 to a few people in the country.
The Ministry for Health had earlier confirmed that they were able to trace a total of 834 people who had come into contact with the man who is the 9th case of COVID-19.
He has been charged with one count of failure to comply with orders.
