Women entrepreneurs from 30 centres in Suva today were part of a celebration after the Sisters in Business logo was unveiled at the Vodafone Arena.

The chief guest of the Courts/ South Pacific Business Development Market Day, Chief Operations Officer for Court's Fiji Limited Sanjay Prasad says the Courts Sisters in Business logo signifies a new journey after the brief pause of COVID-19 and celebrates the women’s resilience and courage to withstand all the adversities that come across their business.

Prasad says the number of women entrepreneurs has grown over the years and has also become aware of their existence, rights and contribution to the Fijian economy.

Prasad adds the event was also a celebration of success from the beautiful sisters in business, which is a living testimony of the market day.

He says the sisters in the business logo symbolize the progress that has been made over the years adding value to the families and communities.

He adds that the Courts/SPBD Market Day provides an opportunity for women entrepreneurs in showcasing their merchandise with the intent to establish their presence and be equally recognized as a trader in the Fiji Markets.

Meanwhile, General Manager and Director SPBD Elrico Munoz say they are facing a new chapter of the relationship meaning this is a way of saying that it's okay, they have been through the darkest period and now facing a new chapter of their life.

Over 3,000 women entrepreneurs around Fiji will be attending the SPBD Business Women of the Year Awards that will be held at the Vodafone Arena at 6pm this evening.
