Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan received his very first National Award at the 71st National Film Awards held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, India.

The award was presented for his outstanding performance in the film Jawan, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career spanning over three decades.

The moment became even more special as Shah Rukh’s children, Aryan and Suhana Khan, shared a heartfelt post on Instagram congratulating their father.

The post featured pictures of Shah Rukh looking dashing in a suit at the ceremony, with a touching caption saying “You always said you never win the silver, only lose the gold, but this Silver is Gold... Our hearts are so happy seeing you receive the prestigious National Award. Congratulations, Papa, we love you.”

Khan’s wife, Gauri Khan also shared the same image with a loving note praising his dedication and hard work.

Jawan, directed by Atlee, blends commercial masala elements with social commentary, addressing important issues such as unemployment and farmers’ suicides in India.

Alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey won the Best Actor award for his role in 12th Fail.
