A man in his twenties has died following an accident in Mokani on Friday.
Police say the victim allegedly staggered onto the road and was hit by a vehicle driven by another man in his twenties, who was trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle that had veered into his lane.
The victim was rushed to the Nausori Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police confirm that investigations are continuing.
The national road death toll now stands at 13 compared to 9 for the same period last year.
