Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu

As the country prepares for the next general elections, Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu has refused to confirm which political party he is associated with for the next polls.

When questioned by fijivillage News, Seruiratu said there is an ongoing process with the Registrar of Political Parties, and they are respecting that process for now.

Seruiratu says things are expected to become clearer as they move forward.

Based on the legal timetable, the first election day can be the 7th of August, 2026 and the last possible date for the Writ to be issued is the 24th of December, 2026 - meaning the last possible election day would be the 6th of February, 2027.
