Let us forge a brighter common future for all, never deviating from our democratic principles and love for everyone in Fiji, without exception, and commit to keeping Fiji strong and united.

This has been highlighted by the leader of the Opposition bloc of 16, Inia Seruiratu, who is extending his best wishes to every citizen on Fiji Day.

He says Fiji Day is a time for reflection and appreciation of our shared history, rich culture, diversity, and the values that have brought us together as one people.

Seruiratu says, let us celebrate Fiji Day with joy and pride, and cherish our diversity and resilience.

He has also confirmed Parveen Bala’s appointment as Deputy Leader of the bloc of 16, who will lead the group while Seruiratu is out of the country.

Seruiratu says he will be joining the Speaker of Parliament in representing Fiji at the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, Switzerland, from 13th October.
