Players need to understand that wherever they are playing or whichever club they are representing, they are not only representing themselves but their respective families as well.

This was the sentiment echoed by former Fiji 7s captain and maestro Waisale Serevi in a video he posted on his personal Facebook page yesterday.

Serevi says the players need to keep the door open and pave the way for the younger generations that are aspiring to follow in the footsteps of these players in the future.

He is also urging the Fiji Airways National 7s teams and their respective coaches to set their goals now as we are about to round up another year and turn our focus to another year.

Serevi says he hopes the teams have learnt their lessons in the past months this year and build on from it for the remainder of the 2023-2024 HSBC SVNS Series before the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Meanwhile, the next leg of the 2024 HSBC SVNS Series will be held in Perth from the 26th to the 28th of January.
