Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed that Selina Kuruleca will report as the Permanent Secretary for Education from the 1st of August this year.

Rabuka had earlier confirmed that he was in agreement with the Public Service Commission according to the constitution for the appointment of Kuruleca as Permanent Secretary for Education.

Kuruleca was supposed to start in office on the 3rd of July but Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro was saying that he had rejected the appointment.

Under the constitution, there is no requirement for PSC to get the agreement of Ministers and unions for a Permanent Secretary appointment.
