Fiji’s Super Cruiserweight boxer Sebastian Singh

Fiji’s Super Cruiserweight boxer Sebastian Singh has called on Boxing Commission of Fiji Chair Adi Narayan saying he needs to have some sort of code of ethics to believe in the government that he is working for instead of going on social media and media, and saying whatever comes to mind, trying to get the public on his side.

This is after Narayan earlier said that Singh’s brother, the late Ubayd Haider’s camp should blame themselves and not the Boxing Commission for Haider’s passing as he was unwell leading up to the fight against Runqi Zhou.

Singh says there are two sets of medical reports, and they will not elaborate on the second report yet because some people are making accusations, trying to get the public on their side.

He says the government has put in an investigation team which is looking into the matter and he believes Narayan should have some ethics and do a good job with the investigations.

Singh says that as a man of that age, Narayan should also have some form of respect for the families of Haider and Singh and for the pain and sorrow that they are going through.

He adds it is quite saddening to see that his family is still mourning and still in pain with this situation and there are people like Narayan going out and making a mockery of the situation.

Singh says boxing is a brutal sport and boxers understand that there are a lot of things involved with the sport and they are still just as human as anybody else.

He says they wake up in the morning just like any blue-collar worker, trying to earn a living for their family.

While replying to this comment, Boxing Commission Chair Adi Narayan says if Singh knows the meaning of ethics, he would not be posting on facebook, calling Narayan a dog.

Narayan says calling him a dog and saying he does not know anything about boxing is idiotic.

Narayan says the fact of the matter is that Singh confessed that his brother, Haider, had a prior injury leading up to the fight.

He says if Singh knew that Haider had previous injuries, why did they allow him to fight.

He adds at Haider’s service, Singh was very emotional, and he made a statement that Haider was sick two days before the fight.

Narayan says Singh is holding the boxing fans with this emotional blackmail, and he is trying to gain the sympathy of the people by emotionally saying this and that.
