The Sanatan Shiv Mandir in Samabula, which is managed by the Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji, hosted the vibrant festival of Navratri, drawing together devotees from across the community to celebrate the divine feminine in her nine powerful forms.
Observed over nine nights, Navratri is one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar, dedicated to Goddess Durga and her various manifestations, each symbolising strength, wisdom, and protection.
As today is the final day of the Navratri celebrations, temple pundit Dharmend Sharma says that daily prayers, aarti, bhajans, and kirtans were held with great devotion over the past nine nights, creating a spiritual atmosphere for worshippers.
Sharma says devotees joyfully participated in the garba dance on the final night, adding cultural vibrancy to the celebrations.
He is urging everyone to embrace the spirit of Navratri with devotion, unity, and love, overcoming obstacles and spreading positivity.
He wishes that this festival brings prosperity, health, and happiness to every home.
