Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors Captain Tuidraki Samusamuvodre has signed with the Dallas Jackals Rugby Club in America's Major League Rugby competition.

Samusamuvodre began his rugby career with the Nadi Rugby team, and over a couple of seasons, he represented Fijian Latui and Fijian Drua.

Last year, the 22-year-old joined the Fijian Warriors where he helped the team become the champions of the Pacific Rugby Challenge and this year, he captained the side and played in the competition once again.

Samusamuvodre who is currently playing for the Naitasiri Rugby Union in the Skipper Cup Competition says rugby has always been his passion and one of the reasons he is where he is today is because of the sacrifices he has made.

He says that he hopes to make his parents and everyone that had been involved in his rugby journey proud by furthering his career in the US.

He adds that he looks forward to experiencing life in Dallas and hopes that one day he will bring his family to experience Dallas with him.

Meanwhile, in the Skipper Cup Competition, Suva will take on Nadi at 5.30 pm today at Lawaqa Park.

Tomorrow at 3 pm, Naitasiri will host Namosi at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nadroga will face Tailevu at Lawaqa Park and Yasawa will face Lautoka at Churchill Park.
