Former All Blacks captain Sam Cane has been named to start off the bench for the All Blacks when they take on Argentina in round 2 of the Rugby Championship this Saturday as the selectors made a handful of changes for this match.

The changes also see regular starter Mark Tele’a moved to the bench.

Blues winger Caleb Clarke will start in the place of Tele’a, while on the other wing two Crusaders swap places, with Will Jordan coming in for Sevu Reece who has missed selection entirely.

Rieko Ioane has been given the nod to start infront of his home crowd, moving Anton Lienert-Brown to the bench.

In the forwards, there is only one change in the front row that sees Ethan de Groot being replaced by Tamaiti Williams.

Ardie Savea will again captain the team this weekend with the assistance from hooker Cody Taylor and centre Jordie Barret.

The All Blacks starting XV include Tamaiti Williams, Codie Taylor, Tyrel Lomax, Tupou Vaa’i, Sam Darry, Ethan Blackadder, Dalton Papali’i, Ardie Savea, TJ Perenara, Damian McKenzie, Caleb Clarke, Jordie Barrett, Rieko Ioane, Will Jordan and Beauden Barrett.

The reserves include Asafo Aumua, Ofa Tu’ungafasi, Fletcher Newell, Josh Lord, Sam Cane, Cortez Ratima, Anton Lienert-Brown, and Mark Tele’a.

The All Blacks will take on Argentina at 7.05pm at Eden Park in Auckland.

Meanwhile, the Wallabies will take on the Springboks at 9.45pm Saturday in Perth.
