Party Leader, Viliame Gavoka, General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru and President of the Party, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau.

SODELPA has today confirmed that a complaint against the Party Leader, Viliame Gavoka and General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru on allegations of falsification of documents has been lodged with the President of the Party, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau by a financial member of SODELPA.

The Party expresses its disappointment that the internal communication from the President to the Board Members pertaining to this complaint was leaked to the media.

Duru says under Section 26.0 of the SODELPA Constitution, any financial member of the Party has the prerogative to lodge a complaint against another financial member in writing, signed and addressed to the Chairperson of the Management Board, which is the Party President in this case.

He says the Management Board is empowered under the Party Constitution to institute a full investigation of any member who is accused of misconduct which has brought or is likely to bring the Party into disrepute, or where the misconduct includes a breach of this Constitution or the Code of Conduct or any of its rules as promulgated by the Party from time to time.

Duru says considering that, they confirm that a financial member has exercised his/her right to lodge a complaint and the President of the Party has informed Management Board Members however, a decision to institute a full investigation is yet to be made.
