SODELPA Campaign Director Jope Koroisavou

SODELPA has raised concerns during a campaign meeting in Suva that they have received threatening messages after posting live recordings for their followers.

SODELPA Campaign Director, Jope Koroisavou says they are used to being threatened and if it intensifies, he will file a report to the Police. He claims that messages were sent from people with a military background.

Meanwhile concerns have also been raised by a member of the Rotuman community living in Suva that half of a village in Rotuma does not have electricity.

He also raised issues on ship transportation and no bathroom for passengers to freshen up during the two-day trip. Koroisavou replied that they are taking note of the issues and will look into them after being elected to the government.

We have sent questions to the Army Commander, Brigadier General Jone Kalouniwai regarding the claims made about threats made to SODELPA.

We have also sent questions to the Rotuma Divisional Officer regarding the issues raised about electricity and transport services.
