SODELPA General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru says their party President, Na Turaga Taukei Waimaro, Ratu Manoa Roragaca was being a good host when he was seen wearing a FijiFirst campaign t-shirt at a FijiFirst rally in Serea, Naitasiri.

Duru who was returning after visiting Ratu Manoa this afternoon, says this does not mean that SODELPA is working with FijiFirst or will work with FijiFirst.

He adds that Ratu Manoa was just carrying out his traditional chiefly duties.

Duru adds that those who understand the traditional link between the vanua of Waimaro and Bau will understand what Ratu Manoa did as he accommodated the FijiFirst Leader based on their traditional links.

Ratu Manoa was elected as SODELPA’s President at the party’s Special General Meeting in October.

He took over the role from Bau Chief, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau.
