2023 Coca-Cola Games Blue Ribbon winner and Suva Grammar School sprinter Semesa Caginivalu.

2023 Coca-Cola Games Blue Ribbon winner and Suva Grammar School sprinter Semesa Caginivalu is adamant about defending his blue ribbon title this year at the 2024 Coca-Cola Games that will be held this Thursday to Saturday.

The 18-year-old says he is looking to improve on his time this year and is confident of winning the blue ribbon title again this year.

Originally from Nakavika Village in Namosi, Caginivalu won the Blue Ribbon title at the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 2 competition this year and ran a manual time of 10.13 seconds.

Caginivalu says one thing he has been working on is his off-the-block starts which is crucial for him.

Caginivalu will be provided stiff competition in the senior boys’ blue ribbon event this year from his Suva Grammar teammate Aisake Manna, Queen Victoria School’s Senirusi Rauqe and Natabua High School’s Isimeli Tuvusa.

The Coca-Cola Games will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
