Rup Investments Limited have today clarified that Wananavu Beach Resort in Rakiraki is not the company under probe for housing workers in a poorly ventilated shipping container.

This follows a report in the Fiji Times yesterday.

Rup Investments Limited Director, Sheren Kumar says all their contractors and sub contractors are very reputable companies.

He says wherever housing is provided, it is in properly constructed staff quarters with all amenities provided.

Kumar adds Wananavu Beach Resort is fully compliant with all labour laws and other statutory requirements by relevant authorities.

He says they are open to any inspections by these authorities at any time.

Kumar also requests the Labour Ministry and Fiji Times to name this company to clear any speculation which negatively impacts any other law abiding companies.

We are in the process of getting the Labour Ministry.
