A mother of three was in tears after seeing her daughter free of pain after undergoing life-changing surgery which did not cost them anything at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital in Nasese.

Esther Underwood Rokobuli says her daughter, Bulou Rokobuli, was diagnosed with congenital heart disease in 2017 after receiving a call from her daughter's school that Bulou was having breathing problems.

She says she left work with her husband to check on her daughter and when they learned about her condition, it felt as if history was repeating itself.

Rokobuli says her first child who was born in 2007 also had congenital heart disease and the child passed away two months after birth.

She adds she could not go through it again if her daughter passed away again from this disease.

The mother of three says her daughter's breathing problem became worse and they had to take her to the CWM Hospital for checking and they were advised about taking their daughter for medical treatment overseas, however, the cost was high.

Rokobuli says a doctor then advised them about the Children's Hospital in Nasese and she is thankful that she took that advice which led to her daughter being one of the first 27 children to be operated on at no cost at the hospital.

She adds they are thankful to the Sai Prema Foundation, the medical team at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital, and friends and family for the tremendous support shown to the family.
