Major road works planned for the islands of Gau and Koro began earlier this week, aiming to improve infrastructure and connectivity for villagers.

In December last year, concerns about poor road conditions on Koro and Gau, which had significantly affected farmers and the local economy, prompted calls for urgent action.

These issues are now being addressed with the commencement of road works.

The project also aims to enhance road safety, reduce travel time, and support local development by upgrading existing routes.

Contractors are working diligently to ensure minimal disruption while making significant progress toward completing the necessary repairs and improvements.
