The Head of the Burebasaga Confederacy, Na Marama Bale Na Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Teimumu Kepa is urging the people to stop drinking grog for now as this can be super spreader.

She is also urging people to get vaccinated to protect themselves, their families and their communities from the deadly COVID-19 virus before it is too late.

She says there is a lot of misinformation out there in the community, but she wants to assure the people that those that took the vaccine are in good health.

Ro Teimumu says the second dose is important as it gives a person the full protection it needs from the virus.

She adds people should not listen to the wrong information about this virus or the vaccine because the more the person delays, the risk of getting infected keeps getting higher.

The Head of the Rewa Province would also like to thank all Fijians who are following the safety guidelines and those that have taken up the responsibility to safeguard their community and villages from the deadly virus.
