Goals galore at Digicel Women's IDC as Rewa and Suva claim huge wins on Day 1

The 2021 Digicel Women's IDC got off to a firing start with goals galore on Day 1 of the competition.

In the opening game, Rewa demolished Tailevu Naitasiri 10-0.

Rewa's Timaima Vuniyayawa scored a hat-trick in the first half while Lara Bukalidi and Tabua Liku scored two goals each in the match.

The other scorers were Joyce Naceva, Matelita Tikomaisinai and Merewalesi Veitamana who scored a goal each.

In another match, Suva thrashed the hosts Nadroga 6-2 in Group B.

Suva led 1-0 at the break with Bella Ratubalavu scoring in the 10th minute.

Torika Delai, Mereoni Moceituba and Litiana Bolaivanau scored a goal each in the second half while Laniana Qereqeretabua scored twice as Suva ran away with a comprehensive victory.

Both of Nadroga's goals were scored by Milika Masei.

In tomorrow's matches, defending champions Ba face Rewa at 3pm before Labasa plays Nadroga at 5pm.
