The Methodist Church in Fiji is encouraging all Fijians to strengthen their family ties and improve the core values on the foundation of what a family is built on.
While celebrating Family Sunday today, the President of the Methodist Church of Fiji Reverend Dr. Semisi Turagavou say Fiji is infested by the drug crises, rise in criminal activities and murderers, however, he is urging everyone to accept and help transform their lives.
He says home is where the heart is.
He says people should see children who often break the law as images of God and not label them as rebels or outsiders who are not wanted in society.
Rev Turagavou is urging all Methodists to have a heart of acceptance and help the church shape Fiji for a better future.
He is pleading to everyone in the different confederacies in Fiji to re-look and rethink the way they treat children who are law-breakers, to accept them and help reshape them through Christian teaching.
